Announcements

  • Final Exam Wed Dec 18 4:30-7pm
    • Review exercises are practice exams (are exam questions)
    • Extra-time accommodations continuing from 7pm. See CM if this does not work.
    • Labs/homeworks are the learning activities that prompt deeply understanding the readings.
    • Lectures emphasize synthesizing the learning activities (e.g., into exam questions, essential perspectives).

Announcements

  • We will allow 1 side of 1 sheet of a letter-sized paper 8.5”x11” handwritten by you notes on the exam.
    • The intent here is to encourage reflection to synthesize things relevant to you onto that sheet. The act of handwriting means that you are doing something active in that effort.
    • You will turn in that sheet with your exam.
    • Note that having such a sheet is optional. Questions on the exam (like on reviews) focus on synthesizing your learning. There’s never any expectation of memorizing trivia (e.g., any special library functions you might need will be given).
    • Not adhering to these rules will be considered a form of academic dishonesty and subject to the standard honor code procedures. This is includes sharing typed notes.
